KAFE 104.1 is looking for the Cutest Halloween Critter! Visit www.KAFE.com, register for UPICKEM, and submit a photo of your costumed “critter” between midnight on October 19th through 11:59pm on October 29th. All entries must include at least one costumed critter, which may be anything that is wearing a costume. At approximately 8:00am on October 30th, one winner will be randomly drawn by KAFE staff and announced at 8:45am on KAFE to win a Grand Prize package, with a total approximate retail value of $205, consisting of:
-A Take Home Teeth Whitening Kit from Dr. Faith Bult, DDS, 405 32nd St. #100, Bellingham, WA (Value: $75)
-A 4-week Introductory Class with the Clan Heather Dancers, Bellingham, WA (Value: $80)
-A $50 Gift Card to Laurel Farm & Western Supply, 325 W. Laurel Rd., Bellingham, WA (Value: $50)
Winner will be notified by telephone at approximately 8:40am on October 29, 2015. Entrants and winners will be chosen in the sole discretion of KAFE, including what is deemed an acceptable photo for the entry, including, but not limited to, what constitutes a ‘critter’ for purposes of this contest. You may only qualify one time. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant's entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
Entries containing inappropriate photos or music will be disqualified. Any photograph submitted to KAFE will become the property of KAFE and may be used in any manner it feels appropriate in the future. By entering this contest you are verifying that you are the owner and producer of the submitted material and that no third party ownership rights exist to the photo submitted
No purchase necessary. KAFE’s Sole responsibility will be to award the prize. KAFE will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
To submit an entry, you must register and agree to terms for UPICKEM through www.KAFE.com and provide all applicable contact information during the registration process. Voters must be registered members of UPICKEM.
KAFE contests are open to all eligible US Citizens, residing in Washington state, age 18 or older, that have not won anything on KAFE in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of KAFE, Cascade Radio Group, Saga Broadcasting, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the (station) main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
We will make reasonable efforts to award prizes within 30 days after winning. Prizes can be claimed during regular business hours at KAFE studios, at the Cascade Radio Group offices, 2219 Yew Street Rd., Bellingham, WA, 98229. UPICKEM RULES
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If KAFE-FM cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
KAFE-FM reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
KAFE-FM reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60-mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of KAFE-FM, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to KAFE-FM the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
KAFE-FM reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or KAFE-FM. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and KAFE-FM are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
KAFE-FM reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
